My 17lb dog is starting to show signs getting older, so I bought these stairs to help her hop up on our bed. The assembly is essentially fitting the cloth cover over the foam stairs. A word of advice....make sure the corners of the foam are RIGHT IN the corners of the cover. Pinch the zipper sides together while zippering. It only took one small treat per stair, and my dog hopped right up. Time will tell, but right now I think this is worth the money.So dog can get on bedIt was a little difficult to put the cover over the foam, but the result was a sturdy set of stairs for my pup!Perfect for small dogs. I have a 4 lb Toy fox terrier and these stairs are easy for her to climb.Sturdy and exactly what we were looking for.I was sad to see how small it was. The animals used in the pictures are deceptive. I have a very tall bed and was hoping to help my kitten get up and down. He uses them to get on the bed but won’t go down them. He climbs ladders so he CAN go down… but seems to prefer to jump down.These steps help our two Yorkies up on the sofa and bed as they are our babies and we want them near us….prevents injuries by not jumping off the bed or sofa….a must have…too light, always moves while the dog is using; was hard to put together, slides around easily
