We purchased one for our Mini-Schnauzer and love it. He always walks like a gentleman when on a lead, but we hike frequently and found that the harness makes it is easy to lift him out of the holes and tight spots he gets into without hurting him. It also works well with the car restraint. Once we had to make a sudden stop and he was kept from flying about the car without bruising or injury. We bought a second harness for 'clean' activities and keep the old one for dirty, outdoor activities.We also bought one for a family member's English Beagle and she now walks without choking herself or pulling your arms out their sockets!The harness adjusts to fit perfectly and securely and it seems to be comfortable to the dog. The only negatives are: 1) We have discovered that not everyone finds it easy to put on, so we use a regular collar when visiting the vet and groomer. 2) The metal ring to clip the lead on got rusty after 6-7 months of frequent exposure to lake and river water. That said, we will definitely buy another if this one wears out!
