My little girl (Annie) had a panic attack from fear. I got this wrap for her, followed instructions and it worked amazingly. I love the stretch and fit. I was looking for something lightweight because it's summer and in the 90s. This is it! Lightweight and comfortable. I wish that I had a picture if her in it, sorry. She wears it with no problems and looks very cute in it!I think this wrap helps train a pet to be calm because during the 4th of July fireworks, she didn't need it and just lay calm and even walked around. So I highly, highly recommend this product.this is the second version of the anxiety wrap i tried. I did not like the one with the drawstrings it was nearly impossible to put on! and ran far too large. This one still runs large but is adjustable enough to customize. which is good. on the legs and belly we are at the last velcro, or snap on the legs, but on the front we have the first velcro because it was making her have issues with her wind pipe. Now that it's adjusted it's great. She wears it all day under everything. It's her doggie anxiety spanx! These do run big, I wish there were an even smaller size because i have another dog that is half of this one! So far this takes the edge off enough for her to be able to hear me when i say stop, no or stop barking. Before she was just too spazzed out to comprehend. It's not a cure all but I do see a difference and my neighbors are much happier. It is a light nylon compression much like spanxs only more like a material and breathable, in summer run it under cold water before putting on and mist it during the day to use as cooling device. If this hadn't worked the next step would have been prozac and i'm grateful that so far i've not had to take that step.I have a little chihuahua who is very cute and puppy-looking despite being a senior citizen, in dog years. She whimpers when she wants to be picked up. And when you pick her up. And when you're holding and petting her. And when she's sitting in the kitchen watching you make dinner. Pretty much if she's awake and breathing. This whimpering is cute for, oh, 3 days. Then it's like having a baby that never stops crying. I've been trying for years to reinforce moments that she's not whimpering - sometimes she whimpers in a whisper, which is kind of adorable, but recently (I've had her for 7 years) it's been getting on my nerves more. I'd been considering medicating her just to have a little quiet time.I checked out this vest with a jaundiced eye, and bought it as a skeptic, thinking "What have I got to lose? Other than my mind?"I'm amazed. There was an immediate, marked decrease in the whimpering. She still does it sometimes, but I'd guess only about 10-20% of what she used to. And picking her up stops it. She's kind of like a normal dog now.(For the record, I love her. Especially how she burrows under the covers to sleep, and how she looks like a little fawn when she curls up on my lap. Don't worry about emotional abuse.)I have an 8-year-old mixed breed dog who gets agitated during storms. He pants, paces, hides under my desk, and barks at every loud sound. I bought the Anxiety Wrap and received it in time for a heavy storm. It took a minute to get it on my dog, and it turned out to be way too large. I had ordered the XL but should have gotten Large. So it hung on him, but he didn't seem to mind. Within 5 minutes he was asleep, and he slept through two hours of a noisy storm. I was very surprised. Even a sudden loud boom that made me jump only caused him to raise his head for a second, and then he went back to sleep. I'm not sure why it worked so well given the poor fit, but I'm not complaining. I'll be ordering a smaller size. It's easy to put on, utilizing two wide Velcro straps and two clever hip straps that snap around the thighs, ensuring that it stays on and allowing the dog to relieve itself while wearing it. Very nice product. While it fits my dog well, this is not the product that is on the manufacturer's website. There are no pull cords, and you don't slide this over the dogs head as shown in their video. There are no front legs holes as shown in their video, either. I don't know if this is an older model or what, but it's not the same. I can't speak to its effectiveness as of yet, although my dog went very still while wearing it for the short time that I tried it on for fit.THIS HELPS ALOT! I purchased this anxiety wrap for my Yorkie who is VERY afraid of lightening and thunder sounds. I researched this product because I was deathly afraid that my sweet Yorkie would have a heart attach because he goes into full panic mode when ever a storm arrives. Using this wrap has not completely solved his anxieties BUT he is much better, and I am sure that with more time and use it will continue to get better. The measurement chart is true to size my Yorkie is kind of chubby he has a 18 chest so I ordered him a medium and it fits great.Although I ordered the size given after I measured my dog, the wrap was still too big for him. I tried to adjust it with safety pins but he was able to work his way out of the wrap. I am going to order another one in a smaller size & hope for the best! Our dog, Brownie, freaks out during thunderstorms or fireworks. She runs around shaking like a leaf running under tables, behind couches, into the bath tub, or jumping up on me. She's a 75 pound Shepherd/Lab/Bernese Mountain Dog mix and I am disabled suffering severe back/leg pain, so this was a Bad Thing. I bought this out of desperation as a last ditch effort. Last night we had a series of severe thunderstorms roll through so we tried the wrap out. At the worst of the booms of thunder Brownie would lift her head up attentively and then lay right back down. No anxiety, no running around and no jumping on me!!! It was like she was a completely different dog. Truth be told I was skeptical, I figured no way it was going to work and yet it did. Wonderfully!Ok so we put it on him todayFeels soft ᵃⁿᵈ gorgeous material but very thinI would say it’s worth approx £7.99 not the fortune we paid. (£29.99)When you desperate you pay whatever for your dog. This was a mistake. You pay for the brand/marketingSlight improvement in anxiety. In that when he was shivering from the sound of the wind he wagged his tail as well. It’s not really tight even on the tightest so not really fully like a hugBUTHe looked cuteWe ᴅᴏ ɴᴏᴛ dress our dogs it’s demeaning for a dog. Some need dressing for medical reasons but everyday ɴᴏ...but then we don’t have dogs as baby substitutesEven then short term I think dressing a dog can help humans to heal or acceptSo in conclusion would I recommendNo not for the priceThe picture is quite deceiving - they don't show you the side where the flap goes under and up on your dog because quite frankly it looks a bit of a mess. It's nothing like the original thundershirt which wraps around your dog with another flap which secures from the top and down, this wraps under the dog and up, so if it's a little large, you're left with a flappy bit which if it folds over, picks up all the hair it can because the velcro is exposed. The material is like lycra and stretches nicely but also rips really easily if you catch the velcro on it.Saying that, my dog does find it comfortable and pretty much falls straight to sleep once we put it on her. I only bought it because it was in Amazon Warehouse for £10 as I didn't quite have enough to buy 2 Thundershirts at short notice and although it's doing the job, it's just not designed well enough. They've taken the thundershirt design and because they can't do the same they've turned it upside down and it just doesn't work. This product is amazing. Easy to fit and measurement guideline is accurate . My dog is a rescue\adopted dog and this wrap has been amazing in helping him settle when someone leaves the house or when we both go out. He calms within 3 minutes of wearing and just goes to bed and lays down. No whining, no barking anymore . This is simply working like magic. He barked in the morning early around 4am, we now simply place this on and he sleeps. We also have noticed he associates that time of morning now with sleeping , so has now started to sleep through till 7am. Brilliant product.Does the job, I got mine for a labradoodle, and he seemed calm very quickly. There is also a guide that comes with it, which is easy to read and understands but also makes perfect sense. When I put the wrap on my dog, I do it with minimum fuss and then ignore him, as stated in the book, and he settles down no problem. Before the wrap I would try and calm him and talk to him, but this was just stimulating him emotionally and so he was still on alert if that makes sense - still stress out. He doesn't like fireworks, thunder or if it's really windy, as long as put it on in advance if possible, he is great. Would defo recommend. Get a smaller size to ensure that the wrap in secure and snug.Well, where to start......I ordered 3....as soon as I tried to separate the velcro when trying the first one on the first dog, the stitching came away! It's so poorly made I fancy I could knock one of these up at home with an old t-shirt given half an hour. The sizing guide was wrong. It was too big for all 3 of my dogs even though two of them were at the very top end of the size. Given the nature of the coats and the fact it's supposed to be very snug around the dog they were of no use at all.I'm amazed that these have good reviews.I'm tempted to try a thundershirt to see if they are as appalling.Thankfully I can return the items for free but I still gave to waste more time doing it.I order a huge amount from Amazon but rarely return anything. However these are headed back.
