I am a Vet and these are my favorite scissors for cutting tricky pills. Cutting the plastic bits off IV lines for indwelling urinary catheters, trimming ingrown toenails on dogs and cats and so many more quirky uses. My old pair disappeared one day so I had to get a replacement. These have thicker cutting edges than my old pair and are more rounded (the old ones were pointy and sharp tipped) but so far this has not made them any different in the application of uses.
